We're recruiting volunteers to help underground San Francisco, especially people with expertise in law, public finance,
utilities regulation, public relations, and local politics.

Underground San Francisco is a project of
San Francisco Beautiful.  Founded in 1947 by Friedel Klussmann in the course of
her successful campaign to save San Francisco’s cable cars, San Francisco Beautiful works to preserve and restore our city’s
most valued natural and historic resources while helping San Franciscans maintain the unique character and livability of
their neighborhoods. To do this we depend on the support of our members – people like you who care about keeping San
Francisco a beautiful and livable city.

By becoming a member of San Francisco Beautiful today with a gift of $50 or more, you will help us carry out vital
improvement projects in neighborhoods across the City, as well as to undertake major civic initiatives for the benefit of all
who live and work in, or visit San Francisco. Additionally, as a member you will receive our quarterly newsletter, The Cable,
to keep you informed about initiatives throughout San Francisco and ways that you can make a difference in your own
community.

Each year, San Francisco Beautiful distributes thousands of dollars in community grants to support neighborhood
improvement projects.   SFB Partners with civic leaders and community organizations to promote healthy and sustainable
urban planning and design policies and programs.
